I had a great value for my money at the Waikiki Monarch Hotel. The room was exactly as pictured, with a nice view, good aircon, and great cable TV. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the middle of Waikiki and close to all the amenities we needed. The staff, especially Christine, were extremely helpful and accommodating.
Hotel breakfast could be improved with more variety.

Friendly and helpfull staff, front desk, parking to housekeeping included. Reasonable rates. Room key needed to access lift to room.
Bathroom small, shower / bath drain hole was blocked, water took hours to drain. Unable to access lift from car park to room, room key worked some of the time to enter room and lift access only from reception. No room key needed to to travel down lift from rooms, anyone can travel on lift to leave building.

Beach Paradise in a Great Location, Great Value for Money!
During our recent stay at a hotel in Waikiki, we had an amazing beach paradise experience. The hotel's location was absolutely perfect, just a stone's throw away from the beach and conveniently close to all the attractions. We loved spending most of our time on the beach, going on tours, and exploring the nearby shopping areas.
Although the hotel itself had a slightly outdated feel, it still offered decent facilities. We were pleasantly surprised by the clean bed sheets and towels, ensuring a comfortable stay.

I recently stayed at the Waikiki Monarch for a week-long vacation. The hotel's location was perfect, with nearby bus stops and great food options, including the delicious Waikiki Brewing Company just across the street. There was also a convenient 24/7 7/eleven and laundromat right outside the hotel. The housekeeping staff did a good job, and the room had a nice view with a fridge and coffee maker included. The hotel also had a big pool area and an underground carpark for a reasonable fee.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more!

It was excellently located. All the eating places were close by, as was the beach. The Hawaiian Convention Center was 6-7 minutes on foot. A microwave owen and a coffee maker were very useful. The view was good. The room was clean. The staff were helpful. They checked us in early when we reached the hotel from the airport.
The wash basin was quite small, and water would collect on the counter around it. The swimming pool was small. The small air-conditioner cooled the room well, but made a fair bit of noise.

Hotel was clean and adequately met my needs I was out of the hotel most of the time - checked in at 10:30 p.m. on Thurs, out by 7:00 A.M. on Friday, back at 10:30 p.m. Friday and checked out at 6:45 on Saturday morning. Good value for the money - $69/night. Building security was excellent.
Had a been staying longer, I would have appreciated internet access in my room. Additionally, the two laptops on the table opposite the check-in/out counter in the lobby were both out of order.

I recently stayed at a hotel in a good location, just a 5-minute walk to the heart of Waikiki. The staff at Waikiki Monarch Hotel were friendly and made my stay comfortable. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed. I appreciated the convenience of having ABC, a pharmacy, and a general store nearby. Additionally, there were car hire services available for easy exploration of the area. The hotel also had good security measures in place, providing a sense of safety. Free wifi was another bonus, making it convenient to stay connected. The central location was perfect for visiting Ala Moana, and I found it easy to walk to various attractions from here. The room matched the pictures provided by the hotel.
Nothing that I didn't like 😊
